4. Charge battery if necessary. Install battery. (See

Removing and Installing Battery in Service-Electrical

section.)

5. Check spark plug gap. Install and tighten spark plug to

20 N•m (15 lb-ft).

6. Lubricate all grease points.

7. Run engine 5 minutes without mower or any

attachments running to allow oil to be distributed

throughout engine.

8. Be sure all shields and guards are in place.
